GOD's Mission Day 2- On our way to visit the prison, Cap Haitien Prison, Northern Haiti. It's a long heavy not moving traffic and so others have to use the seashore to get through this busy crowded street. It took us more than an hour to get through.
It's by the grace and mercy of God we were allowed to visit the prison in Cap Haitian. We were not permitted to take pictures and was briefed before being allowing to visit. The warden walked us around and gave us the grand tour. The count of the prisoners were: 9 children, 27 women, and 764 men.
There was even a U.S. citizen (female) locked up for trying to smuggle drugs out of the country that Diane Allen and Veralisa Hunter was able to talk to. She's be locked up there for 15 months and when she did get a court date it was postponed because the courts had no interpreter.
We were blessed to be able to feed them, leave them some personal hygiene items for them and flip flops. Thanks! sis Andrea Lugo for having the flip-flop challenge. It blessed many. Thanks to Rodney Richard and his connections to get permission for us to get inside. The prisoners were very grateful to see us. Remember in Haiti, if your family, friends or missionaries don't provide food, clothing, meds etc for you. You go without.
